Map it out!

1. Enter your location in the first box.

2. Copy and paste the coordinates, name, or location of the course from the chart above (or type it yourself) in the second box.

3. Click the "GO" button and be amazed at the directions it gives you.

These coordinates are quite accurate, but you may have to find out a way into the park from these coordinates. Generally, they only get you to the entance of the park, not to the parking lot. Goot luck!

Could maps be included for how to get to each of these courses? Maybe the courses themselves?

I hope that we can work on that as a team. Anybody can create new pages, create hyperlinks off of existing text, etc. I think that would be a wonderful idea to have maps available. A single place for all of this stuff would be nice for us, and then I could post it on a non-password site for everyone to see, which would be nice.

Course Updates:

Okay, so I lied. However, I did not do it intentionally. Trollwood has not been installed yet, but it will be there very soon -- I swear this time. I will let you all know when it goes in for real.

Davy-Memorial-Riverfront Park is installed and the pads are marked with paint. I will provide an overhead map soon so you do not get lost/confused. Thank you to all of you that helped put baskets together, concrete the anchors in, or help install the actual baskets. It took a whole bunch of work to get things rolling and make sure that it is fully functional. I hope to have signs installed within the next week and then some boards to signify the tee-offs. I talked to Larry Anderson of Moorhead Parks today and he said that he will mow the North part of the park (currently very long grass) when the ground is suitable for their equipment.

Hopefully we can get some alternates in Oak grove in the future to alleviate the horrible wearing down of the grass and erosion by the current basket positions.

Yo Yo,

Looks like our patience has paid off. Trollwood's baskets have been delivered and are being installed as we speak. The course should be up and running by mid-afternoon today (June 21st around 3:00). Make sure that you thank Josh Dunham and Eric Pilon for helping hang the chain on all of the Trollwood baskets as well as thanking Fargo Parks if you enjoy the course.

Keep in mind: This course is not a championship caliber course. It is meant to increase the course diversity in the F-M area and provide branching opportunities for disc golfers. Hopefully more things like this can work out in the future with the local park boards. They have been great to work with and see the growth of disc golf, but they need to be reminded (nicely) of how much we appreciate the courses going up. If we do not voice our opinion, there will be a select few that will voice negative opinions and give the park boards a bad taste in their mouths.

If you have time, please write a little thank you to the park board when you have played the new courses, if you enjoy them.

Later,

Joey
